Skills-Based Volunteer Advisors
Our database of over 7,500 volunteer advisors (VAs) gives us access to highly-skilled professionals from almost any industry or functional background. VAs have a minimum of ten years’ experience. They volunteer their time on two-week to two-month projects providing training or consulting assistance to small and medium size enterprises, governments, and associations. VAs may work with local firms, government agencies, NGOs and associations where they offer critical capacity building in finance, management, strategic analysis, marketing and communications, and other areas that increase incomes and employment, promote business opportunities, and foster broad-based economic development.
VA skills are most often utilized on assignments within larger development initiatives, such as USAID programming, or a private-sector funded training program. CDC Development Solutions designs the Scopes of Work for VA assignments then searches for the perfect match—whether from within our database or through a targeted recruiting effort. We manage all of the logistics for VAs, and are responsible for quality control, reporting and tracking the development of each assignment.
